The project includes the construction of new railway sections, additional junctions, and extended tracks.

KTZ is in the process of implementing a programme for the expansion of the capacity of the existing railway infrastructure.

It is planned to increase the throughput and handling capacity of more than 180 railway stations, taking into account the dynamics of the growth in demand for passenger and freight transport, the increase in transit freight transport and the construction of new railway sections.

Additional junctions, receiving tracks and dispatch exits will be built. Existing tracks will be lengthened and previously dismantled tracks will be rebuilt.

Since the beginning of 2024, work has begun on the approval and registration of additional land, obtaining the relevant permits for design and survey work, and obtaining the conclusions of authorized bodies (architectural and planning contracts, environmental expertise, aviation permits, water and basin inspections, etc.).
